Introduction: Hello neighbors! I’ve lived in Austin for over 38 years and have been in the tree care industry for almost 17 of those. I started my company over 6 years ago in 2016 but sold off the tree care side of things. Now, I focus exclusively on consultations and irrigation systems/repairs. I’ve found that the most important thing to having a beautiful landscape is making sure that the trees, plants and lawn have proper moisture.

I can't recommend Austin Tree Doctor highly enough. My condo community has several big, beautiful live oak trees that were showing signs of stress. After consulting with another arborist, we were even more confused about what to do. In one hour, Jason diagnosed the issues and gave us a comprehensive plan with prioritized action items to help us get our trees back in great shape. His expertise encompasses water and irrigation, soil health, structural issues, and the many pests, diseases, and climate issues that affect trees in Central Texas. His passion for tree health is obvious, and he is both highly professional and friendly. He helped us figure out the work we can do ourselves to save money, and recommended several local companies with different areas of expertise to do the rest. He sent a detailed list of recommendations with clearly marked photos the day after we met. All that for the price of a one-hour consultation is a bargain. Austin Tree Doctor is knowledgable, trustworthy, efficient, and affordable. He saved us time and money, and I know our trees will be healthy and happy for many years to come. Thanks, Jason!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a set price that includes quality parts and labor so that you know what to expect. I also offer hourly and a blend of the two depending on the situation. Currently for this time of year (Fall and Winter) I am offering a discounted initial site visit fee for 30 minutes of irrigation diagnosing or irrigation service. The price is $70.00 if in or around the Austin area. Tree consultations start at $165.00 per hour, this is separate from irrigation services. Different tools, equipment and time is required and are also booked on separate days.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to know what is most important to my customer and I tailor our time and conversation around that. I’ll be honest with expectations and how I can help. If I do not think I’m the best fit for what they need I will recommend a great company who may be better for what they are needing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Tree Risk Accessor and Texas Licensed Irrigator.
