- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I take each individual garment or alteration and upholstery or furniture task into consideration when I price out jobs. I will ask for any necessary photos from the customer to get an idea of the scope of the work and the desired finished product. For example, altering a garment with a lining is much different from altering a garment without one or reupholstering a sofa can mean many different things in terms of the scope of the work, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically will ask for a photo of what needs to be made or repaired and what time frame you need it back in.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 30 years of experience sewing, over 15 years of experience as a leatherworker, and a new student to furniture making and upholstery.
