- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge per word if it's a small document, per page if it's several pages and many words per page, or if it turns out to be many pages, I can price it for the whole document instead of by each page. I can normally work out some deal if it's too many.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I translated something for a friend, without charge, and she suggested I get into this business, since she loved the work I did for her and how it was delivered to her.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I translated an entire technical medical manual, I had a bit of difficulty with the medical terms but I researched all of them and in the end I was able to complete it in a very short period of time.
