FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to learn as much as I can about my new customers as early in the process as possible. This is especially important for new clients who are business-owners themselves, as it's critical that I'm able to understand and articulate what makes their business unique. This can be done via phone, email, or even in person. But the better I can understand who I'm working for, the more powerfully I'll be able to tell their story to the world.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Television, Film and New Media from San Diego State University. And as great as that experience was, it wasn't until I began working in the industry that I really began to learn what it means to work in production. For more than 15 years, I've sought opportunities to work in every discipline in film and video, and that vast wealth of experience makes me the well-rounded filmmaker that I am today.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved the challenges and rewards of telling stories through visual means. There's something indescribable that happens when you see compelling images perfectly aligned with powerful words and music, where the sum is greater than the parts. Being able to create that and use it to help clients share their stories makes it that much more fulfilling.
