Suzuki Studio for Strings

Introduction: I provide violin instruction for ages 2 - adult. Each of the students in my program receives weekly lessons using the Suzuki method. The classical pieces have been carefully selected to provide a strong foundation through its sequential introduction and reinforcement of skills. As each student progresses at their own pace, reading, theory and technique skills are added, and different styles are explored. I began studying the violin as a student in one of the first Suzuki programs in the United States, and I have been fortunate to study with many of the best, including Dr. Suzuki himself both here and in Japan. I have a degree in music education and elementary education, and I have taught the violin since 1976. I have had programs in Oregon, Hawaii and Texas. It is a joy seeing students' talents increase, as they learn about the instrument and watch it become an enjoyable musical outlet for them.
