Introduction: About Pixels for the People: Pixels for the people creates simple design for real people. Working with a designer should be a fun and creative process. We aim to help small businesses create an identity in a way that is approachable and affordable. A solid logo and brand identity helps your customer know that you take your business seriously. We do full-on branding and identity, logos, business cards & other related print materials, event flyers, affordable packaging solutions and simple websites. All design can either be for print, web, or both. Meet the designer: Jessica was born n' bred in Texas and spent a good deal of her formative years traveling the world studying art and design. She studied design at Parsons New School of Design in New York City where she learned the what's what in good design. She now humbly lives in Austin, Texas where you can find her designing at a local coffee shop, hiking the trails, teaching yoga and eating chocolate.

Jessica is the best! I've worked with a handful of graphic designers in the past, but once I found Jessica she became my designer of choice. Her work is beautiful, clean, balanced and fresh. She is proficient with the technical side of things, so that your work will print correctly on any size or type of medium and you never have to fuss with things not looking like you thought they would once they are huge or whatever. Also, as a person, she is a joy to work with: kind, responsive and inspiring. I love her work.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge anywhere from $20-30 an hour depending on the intricacy of the job. A simple design process = a lower price. Typically when design has a hand done element to it or is intricate in nature, the price will go up a bit.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always offer a 15 minute phone consultation before meeting with a client or taking a job to make sure that I'm exactly what they're looking for. Once you've decided "Yup, she's the one!" I send over a contract, we agree on a correspondence date, and I send over an invoice for half of what the job is expected to cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Parsons New School of Design in New York City.
