My work stands out because I have lived the life of a freelance photographer for the last 34 years. Or as street talk says, "I can walk the walk and talk the talk." But honestly, would you rather work with a seasoned professional, or an individual that has not even held a photography position? That is straight and forward, but the truth. There is no aspect of photography I have not worked in except underwater photography. I have done it, but was never commissioned to do it. After an episode with a shark that I never saw coming (he bumped me, but didn't bite) I lost my taste for underwater photography. I have held staff positions as a newspaper photographer, the governor's office, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and my own family and commercial photography studio. My work has sent me all over the world and that experience no one can take away from you. I learned about different cultures, languages, climates and the experience of understanding that we are all of the human race, though we are different in some ways, we are still all sons and daughters of God the Father. I have come to love the diversity of us all, because of that diversity and I have recorded life as I see it around me and made my living in my photography work.
