He wiped my hard drive clean and reinstalled windows 8.1 and microsoft office. All of that was perfect. The only issue I had was there were a number of virus and trojan horse programs on the computer when I got it back which I ended up having to remove myself.

The project was to update the BIOS to enable virtual technology. He wasn't able to do it, but definitely tried. Turns out that HP doesn't support the feature on this machine.
