I spent 14 years of service in the military and then went on to work as a Site Supervisor for a military contractor. My wife and children have supported my passion of home renovations for quite sometime now. We started our family business R&M Remodeling and Construction. We believe in good, honest quality work. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All jobs are priced differently by the demands of the work needing done on various jobs. I charge by each job to be performed not by a hourly rate. I do not charge for the consult/estimate (FREE) or add mark ups on materials needed like most companies do. For bigger projects I respectively ask that you purchase the materials yourself. The reason being is I have purchased large dollar amounts of materials in the past and the client changed their mind about the project to be completed, so I was out alot of money out of my own pocket due to that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up building barns and remodeling homes. I have spent my whole life working on projects.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked with my dad building barns and remodeling homes as a child. I carried these traits growing up and now I am full time.
