What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always offer a pre shoot consultation so that we can discuss what you would like to achieve in your session. It is key that we determine how you want to be portrayed in your images.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I regularly attend classes and workshops to improve on my techniques. I also work with local professionals on portfolio building projects to stay sharp.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Portrait sessions have a $200 sitting fee. Headshot sessions for individuals are $175. Model portfolios vary on the needs of the model and I work with them at the time of the inquiry, but range from $300-600.
Sales tax is added at the time of payment.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography has always been a passion and I decided to pursue it in the last several years as I learned more about posing and working with studio lighting. It really is a great creative outlet as well as a way for me to provide lasting memories to my clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do quite a lot of work with local professionals to help them build their websites. I have been working with local makeup artists providing them with photography to promote their businesses
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. Look at all aspects of a photographer's work - check Facebook, their website, Instagram, etc, in addition to the Thumbtack profile so that you can see the consistency of work.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What type of images do they want? What image are they trying to portray?
