- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on a retainer basis. Hours are estimated at the onset of the project. A two hour design consultation in your home with recommendations costs $ 250. A very general rule of thumb that designers use is to estimate about $ 1,000 per room (excluding kitchens which are more time intensive or bathrooms). I do not sell and mark up furniture, I advise where to get the best products and pricing direct to the customer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A "walk through" discussion of their goals, budget and time frame. Review your space and create a great plan after an in depth meeting and site measurements; if you aren't at the site that fine! I have worked on virtual projects for years (See my renderings). Your project will then be created in a safe and convenient manner.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
25 years working in the Austin area as a designer and art consultant; big roots here! Assisting clients fulfilling their interior design requirements for a variety of Fortune 100 companies and private individuals. I have a degree in commercial design, am a certified CAD 360 technician (technical drawing), an award winning CGI (3d) designer.
