What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I subscribe to various reputable publications from Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital, among others. I am continually studying about any current research.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system is not complicated but it can be different if you only use the online program with me or if you also choose to see me in person, that is extra.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided many years ago when I was a single mother going back to school that I wanted to be a health educator. I didn't want to be a nurse and focus on medical, nor did I want to work in a hospital as a dietician. I wanted to focus on health and wellness and to help average people achieve balance in their lives.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I provided educational information on nutrition. I create their online personalized journal for them to easily keep track of what they are doing. I monitor this and offer suggestions and encouragement to my clients. They know I am only an email away for support. If we close enough, I can meet in person.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A client I am personally working with right now, lost 14 lbs her first month working with me. However, she is very determined and really pays attention to what I am teaching her.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find a provider that knows what they are talking about, one that you personally like, one who you feels personally cares about you. It must be more than a job. Also find one who is not just trying to sell you a product to make you reach your goals unreasonably fast. Evolving into a healthier you takes commitment and doesn't come from a specialty drink of something.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I am very passionate about my profession and very compassionate toward my clients. I would want them to understand what the aspect of holistic wellness means. It means to focus on all areas of wellness: physical, emotional, social, mental/intellectual, spiritual, and environmental (I focus on the home and work environment).
