About
I specialize in teaching beginning piano students of all ages with a warm, patient approach that makes learning enjoyable. With 5 years in business, I understand that every student is unique, so I tailor each lesson to your pace, goals, and musical interests while building a solid foundation in reading music, technique, and basic music theory.
Whether you’re brand new to piano or returning after time away, I’ll guide you step by step and encourage consistent practice on your own piano or keyboard at home. Students are responsible for the cost of lessons, music books, and any additional materials.
If you’ve always wanted to play piano and truly enjoy music, I’d be happy to help you begin—or begin again—with confidence.

My two sons just had their first lesson with Ms Carol, and the whole family is so excited we found her! My boys are excited and motivated and looking forward to their next lesson. Carol is so good with children and skilled at communicating with them.

I have been listening and watching Ms. Carol for a while now. She is patient, and so nurturing to her students. She allows her students to "breathe and grow". She reminds them to practice and she expects them to without condemnation. She is so positive and always leaning toward the positive. The students are learning the very beginnings of piano and she makes it light and fun. I think her students leave feeling better than when they came. She is constantly looking for the right book for each student, so while she uses a curriculum, she adds to it, with theory pages and practices to help them get a full experience.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees for weekly lessons and travel are paid in advance on the 1st of each month. Lessons are $30 per 1/2 hour or $45 for 45 minutes. If you'd like lessons in your home, travel fee each week is .80 per mile, round trip, based on Google maps.
I teach on a 12 month calendar.
In addition to the instructor lesson fee and music book cost, students will need a bag to carry their piano supplies. As students progress, they will need more advanced music and theory books. Later, they may need a one-inch 3-ring binder (with interior pockets) slong with dividers. There will be subsequent music and theory books. All music materials are purchased by the student/parent.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial interview is by phone. The first lesson we get acquainted and I evaluate skills. From there, I will choose appropriate music and theory book to get us started. The lessons are based on a sequence of advancement, week-by-week. The goal is for the student to progress through the piano series, build confidence, learn piano theory and foster a love to continue learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Sociology.
I've played piano (over) 50 years. I began formal piano training at the age of 5 years old and continued into college. After retiring from Southwest Airlines, I began Substitute teaching in Katy ISD and currently, Conroe ISD.
