I had a light switch not working. Not knowing an electrician, I turned to Thumbtack. Sophie’s Home Services came up with excellent reviews. I decided to request service from them based on the positive reviews and I’m very happy I did. They came out the next day to find I had a bad switch, which stopped working after 30 years of use. I was very comfortable and pleased with them. They were polite, friendly and professional. I knew I made the right decision in contacting them.
So while they were here, I asked about a few things I have been putting off since I didn’t know an electrician and was worried about getting scammed (you just don’t know who you can trust anymore). He gave me a quote which was very reasonable. We planned on them coming back to do the work, which was adding recessed lights in 2 rooms and an outlet. They showed up and knocked out the job in no time. They took great care in cleaning up after themselves and I couldn’t be more happy with their work. I highly recommend them and will be using them for all future electrician work.

It was a very small job: a kitchen pendant light stopped working after years of use. Turned out it was the switch, which they replaced. Reasonable, professional, pleasant, and they explained what caused the problem in the first place. Highly recommended.

We couldn't be more thankful for Sophie's! They made sure they took care of our needs even though it was getting late in the day.
