Currently serving as an Advisory Committee Member for TX-CERA / Texas Collections Emergency Resource Alliance. Efforts include Disaster Planning, Response, and Recovery for Texas Cultural, Heritage, Historic Sites, and Special Collections. A part of the FAIC Alliance for Response Network. ~Provided an Artistic Expressions and Emotional Therapy booth at the Health and Wellness Fair for (FEMA) Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 6 Branch 3 office in Corpus Christi Texas during the Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. ~Provided several thousand dollars worth of light carpentry work and handyman services free of charge for the Deschutes Children's Foundation in Bend Oregon. Donated a custom-made wall sculpture to the Annual Art and Wine Auction fundraising event for the foundation. ~Served as an Usher for 32 performances of Cirque Du Soleil's Luzia "A Waking Dream of Mexico" in Denver Colorado. LUZIA is inspired by the people, places, and stories that define Mexico. Take a journey through a dream of Mexico, from the folklore of old to the urban landscape of today. LUZIA takes you to an imaginary Mexico, like in a waking dream, where light (“luz” in Spanish) quenches the spirit and rain (“lluvia”) soothes the soul. With a surrealistic series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, LUZIA cleverly brings to the stage multiple places, faces and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity. ~Served as an Usher for a production of Les Miserables in Oregon. ~Provided services as a Properties Worker and Set Designer for Cascades Theatrical Company during the productions of “Brighton Beach Memoirs”, “Panic” and “The Glass Menagerie” in Bend Oregon. ~Completed the design, arrangement, and construction of several interactive and educational exhibits for The Duluth Children's Museum in Duluth Minnesota.
