- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost I want to understand why they are reaching out for help. Do they not have the knowledge and experience to do the accounting work themselves, is their business just becoming too time-consuming and they need to outsource some of the work or do they just want an expert to work alongside them. The reason for the help goes a long way in formulating a plan. Secondly, we will discuss the work they are needing assistance with to make sure we're on the same page regarding the services they require. Lastly, coming up with a strategy makes sure all parties are moving in the same direction or towards the same goal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a major in accounting and minor in finance. Upon graduation I obtained my CPA license (still active) while working in public accounting. I have background in both tax and audit in public accounting before moving into industry. While in public accounting I worked with numerous industries, for-profit/non-profit, and a wide range of client personalities.
