FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer transparent, flat-fee pricing for uncontested matters, starting at $2,500, which includes all necessary paperwork and court appearances. For contested matters, emergency issues, or limited-scope representation, I bill at $350/hour, with typical minimum retainers ranging from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on the complexity and scope of services required. Payment plans are available for qualified cases. All fees are clearly outlined upfront in a written retention agreement. Please note, no attorney-client relationship is created until the formal written retention agreement has bee signed by both parties.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a brief email exchange or phone call to ensure I can help with your specific situation. We then schedule a consultation (virtual or by phone) to gather more details about your situation and review your goals and documents. I'll explain your options, timeline, and costs clearly. If you choose to retain, I can handle all paperwork and guide you through each step to finalization. Please note, no attorney-client relationship is created until the formal written retention agreement has bee signed by both parties.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a licensed Texas attorney with over a decade of experience in family law, gained both as a paralegal and as an attorney. I hold a J.D. from the University of North Texas College of Law and regularly attend continuing education courses on Texas family law updates. I'm a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section and Texas Bar College, and several other professional memberships.
