When we just moved to Dallas, I did not even know how to start to transform my house in a cozy home. Carlota was great in helping us to create the different areas, according to the needs of the family and the budget. I highly recommend her, she is an excellent and reliable professional.

Carlota is just great! It was my first time working with an interior designer and I couldn’t be any happier. We recently moved into a house that needs some remodeling and we decided to start from our daughter’s room (she’s almost 5). We wanted to make her happy and give her all the pastel colors, rainbows and unicorns that she loves while keeping the room clean and modern. Carlota immediately understood what we had in mind and created a mood board that illustrated her ideas: the color palette, the furniture and all the accessories that would complete the space, including the closet knobs and wall décor! We’ve done a mix of in-person and on-line consultation, it’s been really easy. Carlota is responsive and very present. Her international experience brings a fresh perspective to what she does and I feel that her project for us is “made-to-measure” and unique. We will for sure work again with her!

I was actually never able to use Carlota. We spoke on the phone multiple times. I was super excited about getting her input and it would probably have only taken half an hour to confirm paint colors. 3 hours before our scheduled appointment she sent an email with the quote stating that if she didn’t hear back by 11 (sent at 8:50) that the meeting was off. It was a holiday week and I don’t check my email during the day on a normal basis … not to mention we had not communicated via email other than me sending her photos in which she responded back with a phone call. I rearranged my day to accommodate her schedule, and waited until I finally reached out 45 minutes past our appointment time only to be told that she had cancelled it because she didn’t get an email response. So Disappointing. I tried to get her to come at a later time in the day without any luck. Not only did I waste my day and the time I put in preparing for the meeting, but I put the project on hold for a few days to accommodate her schedule. If this requirement had been expressed in advanced this could have been avoided entirely. I’m sure she does great work, but professionalism and organization do not seem to be her forte - good luck!

Hi Kandice. I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding and apologized for the inconvenience that I could have caused to your project. I really understand that sometimes house refurbishment could be really stressful and sometimes even scary! I wish I could have the opportunity to help you with your paint. I hope you understand that I need to confirm my meetings before showing up, especially during holidays week when everybody schedules are even more complicated, normally email is the way clients wants to communicate and is the more reliable one.     I adapt my work to your budget, adapting myself and the furniture used to you, your family and to the money you are willing to spend, with no surprise charges at the end of the job.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    You can chose how do you want to work with us, on line or in person. ON LINE Introduction call: Will help you to better understand the process and study your needs, will also allow me to explain how can I help you. After this conversation, I will send you a quick questionary and pictures to see what do you like or not, and what style you love and which ones you hate. On line consultation: A video call will allow us to work together in your space, will allow me to study the space and the existing furniture. This will help us to set a budget and a timeline. There is a $50 consultation fee that will be deducted from the final budget. Mood board: I will create a mood board with colour palette, suggested furniture and accessories that will complete and light up the space. Including paint or wall paper recommendation and a lay out floor plan that will help you to visualize the final result. If you have any doubt no worries, we are happy to give you a second option within the same budget. Final design & shopping list: Your amazing selection is ready to reach you, here is where you will see the final proposal including existing and selected furniture lay out floor plan and a shopping list of the selected furniture and accessories. IN PERSON Introduction call: Will help you to better understand the process and study your needs, will also allow me to explain how can I help you.   • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I was born and raised in Madrid where I started my career as Fashion Stylist and Interior Designer. In 2013 I moved to London where I spent 6 years working for several design studios, working for residential and retail clients. I got the opportunity to explore different design areas and learnt how to work internationally with different clients and needs. After our British adventure my family and myself moved to Dallas where we have learnt how to live in a totally new and different continent. My Moto: impossible? Don´t know what that means
