FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices reflect my results! I have many packages and programs available for all budgets and want to find something that works for you. I heard a great quote once - "If you think hiring a great trainer is expensive, try hiring a bad one..." I hear it often when so many clients have hired inexperienced trainers or aversive/punitive trainers with an ego and unfortunately their dog is now worse. We do have to spend a lot of time and money undoing what the last trainer(s) have done before we can get the dog back on track. Let's just start off with the right trainer from the getgo!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Dog Training: Initial contact is made by the client and if they haven't filled out my Training Registration form, I will ask them to do so before scheduling our first session which is easy to do on my website. Once that is submitted, you can schedule your session also on my website easily at your convenience! We will discuss any questions/challenges that the client might have prior to our first session. Pricing options and packages are reviewed during this conversation or via email so the client is aware of all the options available to them. All sessions and packages are pre-paid or collected at the time of the initial session. Pet Sitting/Dog Walking: Once basic information is registered in our secure portal, we will schedule a Meet & Greet interview with you to ensure it is the best match for us both! All communication and schedules are easily done through our app or website and it's a very easy, convenient and seamless process after that! Loving and caring for your home and pets is the easy part! All classes & workshops: Customers are always more than welcome to contact me prior to registration if they have any comments or questions. Most students enroll themselves seamlessly through my website and registration site and pay to reserve their seat at that time prior to the workshop, seminar or class.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the animal industry since I was 15 and have worked with animals for over 21 years now, I was a Veterinary Nurse through multiple day practices and emergency clinics for over 10 of those years. I have studied with some amazing behavior and training mentors who have helped me to become the trainer that I am today. I have been a Certified Pet CPR & First Aid Instructor for almost 13 years and have become a Master Instructor and now certify new Instructors across the country! I speak all over the country and am regularly speaking at multiple animal industry conferences each year! I am a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, Certified Canine Colors Coach & Facilitator, and a Certified Professional Pet Sitter. I also earned my Certified Fear-Free Professional title in 2019 and am consistently hunting out the best programs to study and learn from as we are ever-evolving as we study pets and learn from them!
