I have been a Top Pro since 2015. I have a USPTA certification for 30 yrs, and I have taught tennis for 30 years. I started playing tennis at 19 yrs old, I was ranked #4 in men's 70's in the state of Texas and # 14 in the U.S. for 2025 playing in national senior tennis tournaments. I am a tennis instructor to mentor juniors and adults for a lifetime. I like to set goals with my students so we can have expectations to see how they progress over time. I enjoy working with my students to make them better and have fun with the tennis lessons.

I had beginners lesson with coach Harlan and enjoyed it. He is patience and explains tennis techniques in a simple way to learn them more easily. Great tennis coach!

My daughter and I are tennis newbies! Harlan is patient, instructive, encouraging, and available when we want to take a lesson! Our experience has been good-there is a steep learning curve since the technique in tennis dies not feel natural when one is first starting out! I believe Harlan is helping us learn to play correctly, and most importantly we are having fun!

Coach Hopchik has been a great find as my son has sought to improve his tennis skills.
