About
As a trained photojournalist, I can capture moments that are genuine and real. Often people in portraits or posed shots can look stiff and strained with a forced smile. But I make sure to show my clients in their most flattering light, even in controlled situations. During events and weddings, I constantly have my eye out for fleeting moments including eye contact and displays of emotion. My work focuses on people and telling a story.
There's not much more satisfying than when a client tells me I exceeded their expectations. It's fun to be able to show them the best parts of themselves.

Daniel was very personable and accommodated my ideas along with his own. I would definitely use his services again in the future. Job well done...I can't wait to see the edited shots!!

Daniel did a Christmas photoshoot for my family and the results were fantastic. His attention to detail to produce the best possible shot was refreshing, as was his professionalism. We were delighted with the photos and would definitely use him again!

He was a great photographer for our wedding. Easy to work with and, most importantly, the photos turned out great!

He cancelled 3 days before the event without even calling or texting me. Good thing I checked me emails or else I will not have a photographer in my special event.
I called him and he said he double book. It is not my fault that he double book, he supposed to find a way to meet his commitnent since I paid him the same time I hired him. He should be mindful on his clients and not just drop them on the air.
I end up stressing out and tried to find a new photographer in a short period of time.
Very disappointed. No professionalism.
Daniel K Burgess's reply
I am very mindful of my clients and this situation was no different. Not three days but a week prior I instantly responded to the error once I realized it with a refund and an offer for a free portrait session. We had been successfully communicating by email which gave me no reason to believe she wouldn't immediately receive it. I stayed in full contact with her throughout the ordeal, updating her with updates about the refund, answering her questions and even searching for a replacement, which she found. I would not have stopped until I had found a replacement to solve the problem. The error was caused by a switch to a new scheduling system. I had to decide between two clients and picked the one who booked me first. I have never before had to cancel and made changes to ensure this never happens again. My success is a direct result of my professional reputation, quality and word of mouth. And sometimes the best way to evaluate someone's professionalism is to watch how they respond to a mistake. This clients branding of me as "unprofessional" is simply inaccurate.
