I have had few personal trainers in my quest to reach my goals in fitness for the past 3 years. So, this is not a new year resolution for me. Recently, my TWO!!!! different personal trainers have become a little hard to establish a routine. My overall progress in strength, cardio and flexibility have stalled. Having a bad lower doesn't help, but with a KNOWLEDGEABLE professional trainer, the sky is the limit. Enter here Adam Smith. He is what I was lacking to reach the next level. Adam was quick to communicate, easy to schedule and was on time. Today after my first session, I can tell I finally got a Professional Trainer, that knows his trade. The session was ALL fun, full of new challenges and most important safe to my lower back. The Kickboxing part was an eye opening fun experience. Having a Karate background, I felt back at home. Can't wait for the next session in 3 days. I guess that the saying: "Can't teach an old dog new tricks", doesn't apply to me. At 55 years young, I am ready to learn and kick some serious........ ;-) If you are stuck in your fitness journey or are looking for a lifestyle change, don't waste time and call Adam. Rashad is arguably the best and most well rounded trainer in the DFW metropolitan area. Vegan, cardio, weights and strength, boxing (real boxing), and jiu-jitsu. You will not find a better trainer, point blank period.
Great for learning skill in an effective martial art. I have a ton of fun in this class. If getting in shape and learning practical solutions to violent street altercations is what you're looking for, I'd recommend Defence Lab!
I have been a part of War Tribe Bootcamp since day 1. July 2012 I went to Jay and Karla's home where it all started. We started in their backyard small groups doing basic workouts which were so killer for a beginner like me. I could not do a pushup to save my life. Lol Jay was always so motivating and he made everyone believe that soon they would be on an elite level of fitness, so I kept going. Day in day out. Followed them to the park and from the park they moved to a dojo down the street. That's where everything got bigger. By word of mouth and hearing about how encouraging the trainers were, of course people followed and talked about us to their friends and family. Within a month I was asked to assist in training due to some complications regarding Karla's health. I was so honored to help in any way I could. I can't think Jay enough for building me up to the person and fighter I am today. We train hours everyday and challenge everyone to be a warrior. Everyone looks up to Jay for motiviation. He always speaks volumes of his tribe. This camp was built on a thought, a small group of people and now they are well known. We don't advertise, come out on commercials. All of our clients come by word of mouth. We love every peroom that comes through those doors and see so much potential in all of them because I know how they feel, I was there once. From 0 pushups to I can't even tell you how many now. Lol I can't say enough things about Jay and his beautiful wife, Karla. They are a blessing to anyone who walks into their doors. They turned my life around and now I am helping other people reach the goals I never thought I'd reach. We are a family and with everyone on your side there is no way you can fail. Jay won't allow it!!! You will leave feeling empowered. I know I can conquer anything that comes my way. I have cried while doing pushup with Jay in the background telling us to believe in ourselves. It has been the absolute best ride of my life and I'm still not done! I don't think I will ever be done. Joye was my personal trainer for ten weeks. She was committed to my goals, some days more than me. She motivated me when I was exhausted and felt I could do no more. She challenged me with workouts and gym equipment I would never be brave enough to use on my own. She also took the workouts to locations other than the gym. This was helpful because the gym can become routine. Joye is very knowledgeable about fitness and exercises and offered combinations that produced the desired results. Even if I do not participate in more personal training, she gave me the tools needed to feel confident in the gym, at the park, or in my home to work out effectively and continue to work toward meeting all of my goals. Note: If you work out with Joye never use the word CAN'T because she will prove you CAN!
I have experience in nutrition and fitness, but Kay challenged me greatly. He taught me moves that I never thought of, and he consistently asked me if they were challenging enough, so he valued my input. I began my weight loss journey just right thanks to him!
I feel so lucky to have found him. Nate's knowledge, experience, teaching and training ability, have far exceeded what I was looking for in a coach.
My experience has been excellent! The workouts that I signed up for are one hour each and the combination of upper and lower body exercises have given me greater definition as well as muscle tone within a shorter amount of time. It is the first time that I have hired a trainer and truly seen results. Each workout is custom to my needs and at a pace that I feel comfortable. Definitely worth the time and investment!
