- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All my education comes from hands on experience and working with and watching people with over a decade of experience in the business.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off with a few diy home projects. These projects came out more precise than the jobs I’ve seen other professionals complete. I started flooring for those closest to me but not as a full time business - just a side gig. Then, we had the year-long shut down. The company I worked for laid me off, so, with the advice of my family, friends, and those who had seen my work, I drove in head first and made Flooring my full-time profession.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my favorite projects was a carpeted bathroom that I was hired to remove the carpet and install new flooring (vinyl planks). I installed the bare floor and the the walls were painted green, along with the cabinets. It almost felt like I had built a whole new bathroom with just those two changes - the aesthetic was changed beautifully!
