- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We operate differently then most irrigation repair companies our pricing is based on a flat fee per repair item. We don’t charge by the hour we are confident in our ability to work efficiently and effectively to diagnose the issue and make the repair. Our customer tell us were about half the cost of those by the hour companies. Yes there might be a few that are the exception but most of those few either are sending you a unlicensed technician or the company might not even have a licensed irrigator on staff which In Texas it’s required by law that at least 1 irrigator in charge be under the company overseeing Technicians which even those technicians need to be licensed irrigation technicians unfortunately most are not and those are the exception. With us you will be getting a licensed irrigator doing any repair or installation for you. Irrigation Repairs: We offer Flat Fee Prices we are different then most companies who charge by the hour you never know what the skill level is of the Technician you get dispatched to you that day. Can add up quickly we are different because we are confident in our skill level we can offer flat pricing on almost all irrigation work with exception to a few services such as pool reroute and obstructed repairs mostly due to roots as repairs might not be able to be made and will have to be rerouted. Most repairs can be quoted over the phone
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Sprinkler Repairs: I greet the customer let them know who we are and how we are different. I let them know we are a flat rate company in some situations there is a need to charge by the hour but it’s rare. This helps build trust as they know what to expect and no matter if it takes us longer our quoted price stays the same unless otherwise noted in the beginning typical situations are Pool reroute services, any repair in the root zone of trees. I then test all zones to make sure everything is working upon arrival and identify any zones not working before beginning any work. I explain the problems I found and make recommendations based on priority necessary repairs or system to function properly, preventive maintenance needed, and finally Services that will provide water cost savings. I explain the irrigation system and steps they can take to get the most out of it and provide maintenance steps to take if wanted and in case of a emergency leak how to shit off there system. I want the customer to become more knowledgeable about there irrigation system Design & Installations of the rest of our services : I ask what they have in mind if anything show them examples and get an idea of the vision they have for there outdoor living space. For irrigation Installations I explain that spending some extra money in the installation will provide a longer maintenance free system as repairs can be more expensive quickly then the initial cost of a system. Hiring the right contractor that focuses on this and shows it in his installation methods and product selection will provide you a less expensive system in the long term. We use the latest irrigation design software to design the most efficient system for your needs to many times I hear about how the guy before is 1-2,000 dollars cheaper and then they call me because they won’t come back and make good on there install Texas Mandates 1 year warranty on all Sprinkler Installations. Beware of contractors who use other peoples license to pull permits but actually the person doing your installation and design is not a licensed irrigator and in most cases lacks the knowledge to execute a well designed system and proper installation techniques. I will come back and have to raise heads and add some or make adjustments to nozzles and rotors because there’s a lot of dry areas .
