Every day is a new day for my muscles regardless of the time spent with Hugo. He pushes my body past the limits I thought I had, and makes me embrace the next level of fitness. I call him my Drill Sergeant because even when I want to give up, he encourages me to give more...after all this is his job to push me. I was in the condition I was because I had absolutely zero motivation, and was eating extremely unhealthy. He provided a meal plan, and checks in with me daily. In one month I have lost 3.5% body fat, and 13 lbs...numbers never lie. I'm stronger, feel better, and I have stopped longing for my daily naps. However, I will say that I easily fall asleep at night now because 1) I'm beat by bedtime from his daytime workout, 2) As much as I dread the workout and how he pushes me...I look forward to the next morning and continuing to see my body transformed
Shay trained me in a group setting for two different purposes - first, she trained me in a half-marathon training group. As a long distance runner, Shay is so patient with various levels of experience and pushes every single person in the group to their potential. When I crossed the finish line with her at my first half, I wanted to yell and cry at the same time! She truly pushed me to my limit. Another bonus was when Shay taught me how to stretch. She gave me amazing advice on stretches to try and also convinced me to get a foam roller which saved my life! Shay also trained me following my half in a very small group - 4 people total. She trained us out of her own house, using her personal equipment. Shay is extremely organized! She has the workout planned out perfectly and always has people moving. We worked out using several techniques, including Tabata and Reverse Pyramid. Shay's cardio workouts left me exhausted, but energized. She keeps everyone motivated with music and her counts! I love knowing when we will be finished and she keeps things flowing very well. I never felt like I couldn't run and get water or ask a question, she is extremely approachable. I highly recommend Shay as a personal trainer to anyone looking to better their fitness and overall health!
