Vanessa is professional, on-time and tailors each lesson to your needs. She will note every detail such as your grip, your stance and timing. Those details matter a lot, and she will correct them for you. You will feel a difference right away either with your accuracy or the amount of effort you have to swing. Vanessa loves the game and it comes across in her coaching. I found her by word of mouth and happy to train with her. I’m a 3.5 player and we train once a week.

My son has been taking lessons with Vanessa a little over 6 months and had very little exposure to tennis before that. During this time he has grown tremendously. He joined the tennis team at his high school, played his first tournament and wants to continue playing long term. This is the first sport he has played consistently and I believe Vanessa has a lot to do with that. She is patient and truly cares about his growth in the sport while at the same time pushing him and making him uncomfortable for continued growth. I recently met Vanessa’s Dad who was her coach growing up and I can see that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Tennis and teaching are part of this family and with that comes with a ton of experience, knowledge and ways to adjust the learning as necessary for the student. She is now incorporating drills with a ball machine we got my son. Her prices are fair and is very flexible. She drives far to teach my son and has made it work. We are very happy we found her!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I started working at summer camps at El Paso, I found my passion for teaching and helping my students improve their game, I believe tennis is a sport that allows you to strengthen your values and character on your daily life, not only on the court. Being part of that process, seeing that growth on my students, how much they have improved as tennis players and how that improvement brings happiness and satisfaction into their life’s gives me a sense of satisfaction and motivation like nothing else.
