Luis called within only a couple of minutes of my inquiry on Thumbtack. He was in the area, so came directly over to do an assessment, clearly stating what he was looking for, and identifying what they would be able to do for me. He answered all of my questions clearly, identifying not only the scope of the work to be done, but how soon they could take care of it, and who would be doing the on site work. The price quote he gave me following the assessment was reasonable, and a bit lower than some of the email quotes I received from companies that had not yet even seen my home and what needed to be done. I appreciate the time he took to explain their work, showing me not only the materials they would be using, but going further to explain why they used one material over another. He and the workers that came out the next morning were punctual, courteous, friendly, and very professional. I would highly recommend American Rodent Control to anyone that asks.

The work was scheduled with only a couple of days or so between planning and completing the job. The crew worked very hard with a few short breaks. I will use them again if I have any further needs around my house. This house has had some uninvited rodents over many years of its history of over 50 years. The entry points were closed, old original insulation was removed, surface was cleaned and sanitized, and new insulation installed. I am very happy with the job they did. I will recommend them to anyone that has a rodent problem. I only wish I had done this much sooner.

I can’t fault the company, but I made some mistakes in my dealings with this company. I had a rodent infestation. I knew they were gaining entrance near my dishwasher. I didn’t request that the area be included in the estimate, so I had to pay extra.
I didn’t request an estimate that was broken down by the cost of materials and an hourly charge. I paid a flat fee, which seemed pricey for the 5 hours that the three technicians spent on the job.
All that being said, they did a thorough job of sealing all the problem areas on my home’s exterior. I’ve included AFTER pictures of the chimney and interior work. They were professional and were punctual on the service date. Luis was very accommodating and took before and after pictures. They drove company vans and wore appropriate safety clothing.
Again, I can’t fault the company for my lapses. I am just offering suggestions to anyone who might consider hiring this company. If I had gotten more estimates, I might not be questioning the cost.

Although I have a small condo and share walls with neighbors, I was advised to have extensive injections of a substance to stop access to my property, and placement of stickey traps to take care of the rodent problem, supposedly within an hour and for good. However, the quote was $1700.00 - an amount I couldn't possibly manage. I was being charged $100 trip fee and the agent said for an additional $300, they would do a basic job of stopping access time and the rest would be my responsibility. I paid that amount and within 30 min., the preliminary job was done. I couldn't have handled the sticky pads, hearing the animals loudly dying then having to retreive and dispose of the bodies. I purchased $100 woth of box type traps from Lowe's which have to be emptied every few days. My neighbors have paid $40 to $100 when they were treating the rodent problem, but I only got credit for the trip fee when I agreed to some work. Don't know how effective this will be - remains to be seen.. I found the company's representatives to be polite and professional and sympathetic to my needs. Just more expensive that I anticipated.

I received hands on training under a company for many years. The gentleman that trained me had built large commercial buildings to smaller facilities. He taught me many important factors like the quality of materials used, safety, responsibility and he loved what he did so he invested his skills and work ethic on me.
