I called Economy Systems to come give a second opinion of the ac vent inside my apartment. The issue I was having at the time was that I kept sneezing and was getting headaches nonstop and it seemed like it would get extra dusty in my apartment. I called the apartment maintenance crew to come see if the ac unit was broken but they said it was fine and showed me a clean air filter to prove that it was working fine. They even did this little trick with toilet paper after they switched on the air; they placed the toilet paper on the vent where the air filter was and it stayed there. I told Jose from Economy Systems what the maintenance crew told me so he went straight to the air filter. He asked if I changed the filter and I said never and I moved in almost a year ago. The look on his face was complete shock! He explained to me that the return on the apartment wasnt even pulling any air and that is why the air filter looked brand new. He said that an air filter should at least be changed every 3 months and there is no way that the return on my apartment was working as it should if the air filter looked brand new. He said thats why it was so dusty in the apartment and could also be the reason why I was getting headaches. He did the same thing with the toilet paper. But Jose explained that if the return was pulling like it should be then he wouldnt have to place the toilet paper on the vent, it would just be sucked up to the vent. Then I remembered the maintenance man even had to catch it from falling the first few times he tried to do this trick. I moved from those apartments since then my headaches are gone and if it werent for Jose I wouldve renewed my lease at those horrible apartments. I havent had any troubles with my new apartments but if I ever need more help with air conditioning or heating advice or services I will give Economy Systems another call! Cesalee C.

A year a go I had economy systems install a new ac unit. I was completely satisfied with the customer service and the ac unit! We get compliments from our guests about how comfortable it feels! I would recommend economy systems to anyone searching for AC services.

Thanks Jose for moving the ac unit from our master bedroom to the attic, my wife is very happy with our new custom closet! Also thanks for recommending the new thermostat I don't even have to be home or get out of bed or off the couch to change the temperature in the house! Its hard to find a good AC guy who really cares about their customers. We will definitely be calling you for future AC services!! Jon M

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
standard fee on service calls is $55 this is to assess the problem. any parts or repairs made the service call will be waived. We have found and went back on some customers to do the repairs or replacement equipment because they have hired someone who does service calls for free or for $20 . Then that free or $20 service call just cost you 1000× more. We made our business by helping people save money not spend money.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do a complete inspection of the inside equipment and the outside equipment. and we ask the homeowner if they had any problems in the past with the HVAC equipment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Carriere, Trane, American Standard, Lenox.. I have taken courses in HVAC at TCJC Community College I believe it's called TCC now, Lindsey Cooper . I have my EPA Universal certification and I just received my EPA certification in the new 410A refrigerant and I have training and certified in pneumatic controls. I've been to North Lake College. I took blueprint reading and drafting. I had training and been certification in facility maintenance on Cleveland Brooks Boiler. and certified on facility maintenance to work on centrifical Chillers York's & trains chiller,cooling towers Systems. Every year as a licensed HVAC business owner we have to do continuing education. I am a registered at Texas Department of Licensing as a license holder in the HVAC industry. Which is a good thing times have changed since the eighties. I enjoy learning new things.
