Deejay Teejay dj'd my daughter's wedding at Bent Tree Country Club in Sarasota last Saturday. She did an excellent job as an emcee and also with the music. When we arrived at the reception she was all set up and had the music playing. She provided a variety of music for all ages and everyone had a great time on the dance floor. Her rates are extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend her!May 13, 2014Verified
We had an event scheduled for our church BBQ this afternoon withTeejay. She had her fiance email us this morning to let us know she was in a car accident the night before on her way to an event. She wasn't sure if she would be released from the hospital in time and said her equipment was damaged in the accident. We were disappointed because we have worked with her before and she has always done a phenomenal job. She already had another dj to fill in at our event and he gave us all of his information as well as what time he would be there to set up. Within another hour she called us and said she was released from the hospital, and would be at the event as well to help with anything and emcee but to pay the other dj for the service. They both arrived an hour before the event and just as before she is showing everyone the line dances we requested. She kept apologizing when she arrived for the change in plans and said she didn't want to lose our trust as a loyal client. I assured her we were fine and she didn't have to come after what had happened to her. She said she had gotten a terrible review because of the accident and couldn't bare to take a chance anything else go wrong. We couldn't believe someone would leave a terrible review for that and wanted to see for ourselves on here. Shame on you Almalisa for having no human compassion! The girl just lost her livelihood and has to invest in all new equipment this week. She has always been courteous and nothing but professional for our three events and we will continue to hire her as should anyone who has the opportunity to.Mar 22, 2015

She was SO GOOD!!! The music was great and she is seriously so much more than a DJ! She helped with the whole wedding day basically PLUS she job! I definitely recommend her if you need anything music wise 😄👍🏻Aug 6, 2018Verified
We are impressed with TJ. She went out of her way to meet us at a closer location for our benefit. She knew exactly what we needed and brought up the answers to most of our question before we even asked them. We are looking forward to a fine evening.Sep 8, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes! We have broken down different packages to help clients decide what they need and even want. Our website is designed to put in your criteria and choose which package is best for you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I want all of my client's to think, "Wow! That was so easy!", and they do! I have spent hundreds of hours this past year to make our booking and planning process top of the line so our clients spend less time worrying about the music and itinerary details and more time focusing on enjoying the moments leading up to and on the night of the event. Our booking process is all online with a $200 retainer and contract. From there, our clients have the ease to work on all of their planning online at any time before the event. This helps our bride and grooms work a little at the time without ever stressing about losing the paperwork and where they saved the file. You can just log back in at your convenience and continue answering your event questions. We even give you thousands of the most successful and popular song suggestions for each type of event. No more endless hours searching youtube or listening to pandora "wedding" channel! You can check your balance and make payments at anytime for your own convenience and then we have a final consultation together so I can get to know you a little better and we can walk through the entire event, envisioning every detail before it ever happens so we get it just right.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started as a Radio DJ at 16 and learned from the top radio jockeys and sound engineers in my area. But most importantly, I dj'd nightclubs long before I started specializing in weddings which taught me how to read a crowd-a requirement for any professional DJ. I have a background in acting, singing, and ballroom and latin dance as well. If you put all those experiences and talents together, you have a very successful wedding and corporate DJ!
