FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge people what they can afford. For those who can afford full price, I ask for $125/session. For those who can't, I ask the client to seriously consider what they can afford and we work with that. I will NOT send anyone away from the counseling they need simply because they can't pay full price! That's my commitment!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We spend time getting to know each other and uncovering the issues. I frequently use profesional psychological and/or temperament testing to expedite the process. After we create a mutually-acceptable treatment plan we go to work to achieve the client's goals. At every point in the process we do evaluations to make sure we're on task and working to achieve what the client needs and wants.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Theology from an Episcopal Seminary and a doctorate (PhD) in Counseling Psychology. I have advanced certification in Couples Counseling (Marriage and Family), depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, and life coaching. I also have advanced certification in children, youth and adolescents.
