Introduction
Modern Menagerie draws upon traditional interior design practices to create a fresh, boutique client experience. I cultivate genuine relationships and deliver interiors perfectly tailored to reflect my clients' lifestyles and personalities. Serving clients along the broad spectrum of design styles, I hold true to the guiding belief that "the modern should stem from the very ancient" (TH Robsjohn Gibbings). Modern Menagerie blends classic inspirations with modern updates, and makes luxury interiors attainable for the everyday.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

All projects are estimated based on scope discussed at the initial in-home appointment at a rate of $175/ hour. This fee covers the design phase of a project, as hourly billing stops when furnishings are ordered. I charge a fair retail price for furnishings, and this cost covers my time to manage orders and provide turn-key installation.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After receiving an inquiry, I meet new clients in their home to discuss their needs, goals, and tastes. With that information, I develop an estimate for client approval. Once approved, design work begins! The initial design phase typically takes 2-4 weeks, depending on the project scope and other projects in my calendar.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, and have been trained by designer Justin Seitz and architect Wilson Fuqua. I am in the process of NCIDQ licensure, and have successfully completed 2/3 of the requirements to become a Registered Interior Designer in the state of Texas.
