I had purchased a Living Social deal with this company, the Military Movers, for 2 hours of their services for $99. I made an appointment shortly after purchasing this deal in April 2014. I set my appointment for June 16, 2014 for 1 PM. I called around 9 AM on June 16, 2014 to verify that I still had an appointment for their services for that afternoon, and the lady I spoke with confirmed that I still had an appointment and that the movers would come out at 1 PM. I asked for verification of the addresses for the move, and kindly thanked the woman for verifying this information. At 12:54 PM I received a call from a different moving company saying that my contract was sent over to them from the Military Movers because the Military Movers were overbooked and they were trying to help this company out. This gentleman told me that his company doesn't honor the Living Social deals. I was in desperate need of a moving company, so I accepted his services. I tried contacting Living Social to receive a refund for the deal I bought for this company, the Military Movers, and they said that they spoke with a woman named Lacey, and she stated that I refused services because the truck that would be coming would say 'Enterprise' instead of 'Military Movers'. There was never any mention of what the moving truck would say on the outside. I also never refused services from the Military Movers. I had wanted your company, the Military Movers, to help me move because it was the best deal I could find. I did not want to spend the $320 that I ended up having to pay on the day of moving, so I would have never declined services. I am kindly asking you to contact Living Social and declare my deal unforfeited so that I can receive a full refund of the $99 that wasn't used for your services. This was an email I sent to the Military Movers after my experience and have not heard a reply to this day. Awful business. I would never recommend this company to anyone. If anyone ever mentions moving, I immediately say "don't use Military Movers".

This company sucks! Owned by Kathy Springfield and probably here Daughter Lacy. They screwed up my staircase and put a deep scotch on our Armoire and dinning table. When we contacted them it took forever to get a response. When Lacy finally did, she said it was up to the owner. We received $200.00 from a Kathy Springfield for or damages. It cost us $1,200 to fix our staircase and $750 for repair the scotches to our furniture. They made it out that we were at fault and they were being generous. ALL LIES! This was a year ago, and they never return calls or emails. from others on here, it seems this is how they do business when they are at fault. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!

Horrible!! Our experience with military movers was awful! They were so unprofessional! They damaged.. Ruined some of our furniture. When we said something about it they didn't acknowledge it! They were so slow! They purposefully milked an extra hour out of us. When they loaded stuff on the truck they kicked boxes to the back of the truck. Then when we called to make a complaint nothing was done about it and we were never even contacted back like they said we would. I have always had good experiences with moving companies until this one
Military Movers DFW's reply
Mr Bane, First, I want to apologize if our movers were impolite, rude, unprofessional and/or slow. That is not the way we operate our business. If we had known about your issues we would have addressed them immediately. However, this is the first we are hearing about any of this. You have a 48 hr window to report any damages to us. We record any conversations and keep them with your contract and have nothing on you. If you could give me the name of the person you spoke with then maybe that would help. The owner personally responds to each call and we have a contracted repairman that does any repairs that need to be addressed. Also we have pulled the contract and will address your issue with the movers responsible for your move. But I can assure you that our movers are usually the ones that call us before the customer to let us know of any damages that have occurred. Once again I apologize for your unpleasant experience and we would have been happy to make it right had we known.

I have been trying for over a month to get my damaged couch taken care of. I am only being given the run-around. Lacey most recently told me "It's out of my hands", just before saying she was putting me on hold and hanging up. Now they will not answer my calls. This has been a terrible experience, and now my couch is damaged, probably never to be taken care of. This company obviously is not legitimate!!!

I bought a Living Social voucher. When I called to schedule my move I was told they are not accepting the vouchers because they were overwhelmed. I needed to call Living Social and get my money back. I could schedule an appointment with out the voucher but it would cost $60 more. Not too overwhelmed for that, Bait and switch (illegal). Total scam.
