FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing can be a bit tricky. Generally prices are determined by size of the job and intricacy of the design to go on the wall. I usually will bid the maximum based on time I think the job will take and then if it takes less time the price comes down.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet up with the new client to see the space they want painted as well as any pictures and ideas that they have for the project. Once details are discussed, I have a contract for them so they will know what to expect and I ask for 50% down on the price agreed upon. This covers supplies for the job as well as possible equipment rentals like a lift for taller walls. We will set the dates for the work to be completed. Once all the details are figured out I will show up on the dates agreed upon and get to work. I generally work in 4-6 hour increments until the wall is finished. Most jobs taking 8-10 hours. Remaining payment is due upon completion of the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to art school at university of north texas to study art. Started my business in 1998 and have been painting on something ever since. I was also a part of the artist academy out of Missouri where artists from all over the US are learning from each other and its main focus is murals, window painting and art portfolios and how to create a successful painting business.
