FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My typical rates are $30/hour for walks or anything else that needs to be charged for hourly services (such as drop in/potty breaks, or taxiing a pet to the vet, for example). For multiple dogs, it's buy one get one half off. So 2 dogs walking for 30 min would be $22.50 or for 1 hour it would be $45. 3 dogs for 30 min would be $30 or for 1 hour it would be $60. For overnight care, I charge $50/day so a one night trip would be $100. If I did three 30 min drop in visits to a home, it would be $45/day. To add overnight care, where I'm sleeping at your house to keep an eye on your furbabies, adds $5/day. I do occasionally add fees if something is complicated, time consuming or dangerous. If a pet needs a medication daily and attempts to bite me every time, I may add a medication fee. If your dog drags me down the street and off my feet causing a dangerous situation, I may add a handling fee. If it is a long drive to visit your pets, I may add a fee for mileage. I've also been known to give credits to clients who refer their loved ones to me!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to visit with new clients in person to meet their dog, learn about their needs and answer any questions. Once I have all the information I need, I'll set up your account in my app and invite you to download it. This will be how you'll get updates about your furchildren while you are away from home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No formal training, I'm all experience based.
