Wedding Officiant:
Regardless of your faith status, I am able to customize a ceremony that is tailored to your specific needs and tastes. I spend time consulting with you, to gather your input beforehand, and assure that all of your desires for this day become a reality. I am an ordained minister with over 30 years experience; conducting weddings, renewing of vows, funerals, baby dedications, etc. From simple ceremonies with just a few, to large gatherings with 100's in attendance, I'm delighted to make your wedding a day to remember.
Counseling:
I offer premarital and marital counseling, as well as personal and spiritual counseling. In my years of experience, I have learned the key to successful counseling as a couple is honest communication and a willingness to listen to your partner. As long as you have the desire to make your relationship work, there is hope.
In personal and spiritual counseling sessions, We focus on building confidence and owning who you are as a person. Every one has redeeming and encouraging qualities, and too often the grind and cares of life suppress these attributes. My goal is to help you see yourself as more than where you are, and to look toward what you can be. You have it within you to grow and change. Let’s unlock that potential!
I have certificates in mediation and advanced family mediation, which really helps with conflict resolution.

I contacted Nick about officiating a "micro wedding", an elopement with a couple of guests. He was very professional and remained flexible as we changed the date, time and location. He sent a verbatim script, and gracefully accepted the changes we made to it. He was prompt to the ceremony, helpful with advice on the marriage license, and perfect in his delivery of exactly the ceremony we had envisioned. I recommend him enthusiastically.

We were so pleased to have Nick as our minister. During our search we interviewed several ministers but when we met Nick we were so pleased we stopped the search. He is kind, funny, professional, very personable, and knowledgeable in his field as well as flexible to accommodate requests. He also provided premarital counseling which was a great investment in our marriage. He made himself available for the rehearsal dinner and our families loved him too. The ceremony was beautiful. We will forever be grateful!

We hired Nick Oyer to be our officiant for our December 2019 wedding. Neither my husband nor I are confident public speakers, but Mr. Oyer assured us that he would read the vows slowly and carefully and if any mistake was made he would make sure the guests knew it was his fault and not ours, and we would pick up where we left off. Well, this was not necessary because everything went without a hitch! He did awesome, and we followed in his footsteps! It started to sprinkle during our ceremony, and I probably injured my new husband's hands as I was squeezing them so hard out of fear. I was afraid it was going to pour at any second if we went on too long - but Mr. Oyer was cool as a cucumber, got through everything quickly and we were done and married in no time (high and dry!) To top it off - we forgot our marriage license that day that he needed to sign. He assured me it was okay, and he would meet with us the following week to make sure we got it taken care of - which he did. I am very grateful we chose him as our officiant, and I recommend him to any engaged couples!

I had a very difficult situation. I’m agnostic from a Muslim family and my husband and his family are Catholics. Ceremony was the most nerve wrecking part for me. Because as a Muslim woman, I am not supposed to marry outside of my religion. I also wanted my husband to enjoy the ceremony just as much. I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to find a good officiant and someone will have to just enjoy wedding ceremony a bit less than the other. But Nick Oyer was able to make a ceremony perfect for both of us. I tested up reading our ceremonial speech. It was something that both of our families could accept too. He even used few phrases from two different languages for my family to feel included in very much Americanized ceremony that we had. He was helping us until the very end. Be it guest sitting and calming us down in the day of the wedding day and even after when we ended up having some issues with our marriage license.
I would definitely recommend Nick Oyer as an officiant to anyone I know.

He performed a wedding for our son as well as some premarital counseling- he was super easy to connect with- wonderful to work with and we felt very blessed to have him part of our day!!
