FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Always had a interest for animals and Wildlife at a young age . My father was in the pest control field when I was a toddler however I never imagined I would be where I am now with Lonestar 30 years latter. It all started when I was given the opportunity to take a position as a specialty technician with a large local company. I was currently not looking for work and in the automotive field my entire life and was currently building race cars also enjoyed it for the most part . I didn’t decline or accept the offer and ask for time to consider. I ended up accepting and took to it like a duck to water . I worked my way all the way up to service manager about 5 years latter. I over saw and trained 50 plus technicians , responsible vehicle fleet maintenance / repair. Chemical and material inventory and distribution also application procedures. I loved what I was doing and practically became family with the owners and staff and couldn’t ask for better people to work for . The owners were 2 of the best in the Business and I learned lots of priceless things from them . One day they decided it was time to sell the family owned and operated company to a national company. I was offered the opportunity to stay in my position after the switch and I did for sometime . My mother was always my biggest fan and supporter and would always talk about me being to smart and didn’t need to be working for someone else and should have my own company. After her passing I learned she left me the means financially to do what she always talked about so I did exactly that and made myself and her a promise that I would put everything I have in me to make this company successful and different from the others. No matter how much we grow the personal approach we have with our clients won’t change . From experience I know when this type of work is done you never know what’s going to happen or whats found once started. The technicians in this field of work are put on a time limit to complete these projects and get onto the next one and when this is done it’s impossible to be able to put a personal touch on your work and assure that you have done everything 100% correctly and to the best of your ability. Our techs don’t have time limits and are never under stress to get things completed. I would rather have a 1 day project turn into 3 days and have no doubt there wasn’t any short cuts taken or subpar craftsmanship in the work done. Most importantly The clients expectations were not only met but well surpassed and they are 100% satisfied. We have clients that now we not only service their home or business but that of their sons, daughters, mother, father friends etc and that speaks volumes and it’s pretty awesome in my eyes . Oh yea I forgot to mention that those two guys that got me started in this industry now have service for there homes with Lonestar pest control and Wildlife still to this day and I’m honored to do so and look at it as a large accomplishment. This is turned into a novel so I’m just gonna leave it there .thanks for reading
