Instead of exaggerating the problem to sell a big job, he took precise measurements across the entire slab using a detailed grid (with elevations marked clearly in tenths and hundredths), showed me the actual drops and highs on the map, and explained exactly what was happening.
It turned out the center wasn’t sinking as dramatically as the others claimed—it was more minor settlement in specific areas, and he laid out realistic options without pressure.
