Adrian was easy to work with and his crew are some hardworking guys!! My driveway/walkway expansion and took longer than I had hoped, but that was more do to Code Inspection from the City of Dallas. (Asphalt was required by Code.) Quality work. Highly recommend!! Good and fair price.

James, Jorge, and their crew were excellent! Very quick job done right the first time. They dug out existing driveway, built out the frame for the new one and framed out a new sidewalk and poured. They hauled off all of the debris and did their best to put grass and excess dirt back where it needed to be and left the jobsite clean. Great job, guys!

I had foundation work performed and over the last 4 years the driveway sank and cracked considerably. R&R of Dallas replaced a large section of the driveway with a high-strength version that properly handled surface water. R&R was prompt, professional, reasonably priced and when finished made the site look like it had never been touched. Tony is a perfectionist and his work demonstrates his attention to detail.

Adalberto sent me his information within minutes of me submitting my request. We set an appointment to get a bid and he was lower than all the others. When he saw what I was doing, and the parts I was doing on my own, he offered his advice to make the project better. He didn't have to help or give advice but he wanted the project to last. I hired him and he completed the job quickly and it looks great. Price: gave me a price that was just silly if I didn't take him up on it. He was lower than the rest and didn't cut corners. (I'm one of those homeowners that stand over to watch and learn) Medina Concrete will be called again to do my driveway. Great guy and very helpful. Great experience.

Bobby provided a fair quote and the crew met or exceeded expectations. I have recommended CFA to some neighbors already after being asked who did the driveway.

I recently had David pour a concrete driveway for a newly built house. When I started the project on a Tuesday morning, I reached out to several contractors about the driveway and David called me back the same morning. David and I met later that afternoon and the driveway was completed by that Friday. David and his crew let the concrete harden and came back that Sunday to finish. David even was courteous enough to follow up the following week, just to make sure I was happy with how everything turned out. I can honestly say, I will be using Pyramid Decorative Concrete for future projects.

Our 350' driveway was in very poor shape (think off-roading for jeeps). Country Roads Paving turned in a very reasonable estimate. What was cool is they took the time to make sure the work was done well. We're very happy with the results, and very happy that we have a driveway again. We'll be calling them back for more work in the future.

I hired Paul to work on a small patio project! He made me feel comfortable with explaining my project in detail and gave us peace of mind to which was a big plus for me and my husband. We was going with the cheapest estimate but paul showed us in detail how much the concrete and labor would cost any company and we would have made a big mistake and paul help save us money that we would have thrown away Because we like the way he does biz we decided to extend our driveway as well with paul. I would hire Complete concrete again easily, family biz with the customer in mind and the least I can do was give him a great reveiw thx paul we love the work and your co.

Brad and his team moved a retainer wall back about 4' and pored a driveway for me. The area was large and needed proper slop in order to drain properly. They started when they said they would, finished the job in a timely manner, and cleaned as if it never happened. My profession and business is remodeling, so I understand what a customer wants and expects and they delivered; I would use this company again. They did a great job, and for a reasonable price, I couldn't be happier. Jerry White

Thank you to A-1 Affordable Concrete for finishing my new driveway and for recreating such a large patio as we requested for our family gatherings out back. Sometimes dealing with new companies things can become a bit of a disaster. I must say I was very pleased with the prompt response from the company with meeting my requests and needs. I asked for a quote and within 48 hours I had my quote and a plan in place. Couldn't have been any happier with the outcome. I will be referring family and friends for any of their needs. Thank you!

Angel and his crew are great. They completed the project as promised and were very professional every step of the way. He kept informed, communication was great. We had a fairly large project with a Garage pad and large driveway extension and it turned out even better than we expected. We would not hesitate to use Sanchez Concrete again, and we do plan to.

Scott did an excellent job! Listened to the issues I was having with my driveway and together we decided on a solution. Although he was not the lowest priced contractor ... he was the most reasonably priced (low bids don't mean quality) he displayed the knowledge about issues that could arise short term and long term in all the possible solutions we discussed. I am VERY pleased with my NEW driveway and have not had the drainage issues or flooding I was having before with the stone drive. I've also gotten many compliments on the driveway. I have already referred his business to several people and will highly recommend him.

        Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How do you find a good concrete contractor?

Concrete contractors pave driveways, build foundations for homes, install retaining walls, create hardscaping for front and back yards, build concrete steps, and so much more. When searching for a driveway contractor, read reviews from previous customers and ask for referrals. Ask the contractor for photos of examples of their work that’s similar to what you want. Confirm they will get the proper permits so your driveway is up to code. Hiring a driveway contractor to install concrete can average $5-$6 per square foot, or more, depending on where you live, the slope and grade of the driveway site, and regional labor costs. For a new asphalt driveway, the cost could average from $3-5 per square foot. A standard concrete driveway of 500 square feet averaging $5-$6 per square foot would cost $2,500-$3,000 — so it pays to research someone who will do quality work. Excavation and grading work can increase your cost per square foot significantly. Ask whether the contractor provides a materials and labor warranty for their work. Some cracking of the concrete may occur as it settles, but you should talk with your contractor about any structural or aesthetic concerns you have. When hiring a concrete contractor, check out our tips for smart hiring on Thumbtack.

        What do paving contractors do?

Paving contractors can be hired to install a concrete or asphalt driveway at your home, office or property. They can also repave an asphalt or concrete driveway that has been damaged by time, weather or heavy loads. When you are looking for a driveway contractor, request quotes from at least three professionals who are in good standing and have great customer reviews. They should do a site visit and write you a bid, detailing the work involved, materials needed, approximate length of the project and estimated cost.

The site for your new driveway will determine costs and the work required for your contractor. First, the ground must be excavated to lay a clear path. This means removing any trees, bushes and stumps. Next, the driveway contractor will grade the area, making a level surface for the concrete or asphalt. To ensure proper drainage, driveway contractors should install a sub-base of compacted gravel (or similar) 4 inches-8 inches deep, depending on your soil type. Then the concrete or asphalt may be poured and smoothed over the top. Your driveway contractor should recommend an appropriate sealant for your climate and advise you on curing time. When hiring a paving contractor, check out our tips for smart hiring on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to redo a concrete driveway?

Replacing or renovating a damaged or time-worn asphalt or concrete driveway can boost your curb appeal and add to your home value. If your concrete driveway is nearing 20 years or more, it may be wise to invest in an entirely new driveway, instead of redoing your current one. Asphalt driveways average 15-20 years of life, so if you start needing major repairs around the 15 year mark, weigh the pros and cons of repairing or replacing it. Request bids from two to three driveway contractors to determine pricing and project scope, and check out our tips for smart hiring on Thumbtack. Here are some examples of average costs:

        • The national average cost to hire a concrete specialist is $2,750, but that price can vary greatly depending on the work needed to repair and resurface your concrete driveway, the square footage of the project, current costs of concrete, and regional labor rates.
        • Driveway contractors average $2-$3 per square foot to smooth and resurface your asphalt driveway.
        • Resurfacing concrete driveways averages $3-$10 per square foot. Pricing can depend on repairs needed, project size and geographic location.
        • Nationally, the average cost for resurfacing a 500-square-foot driveway ranges from $2,000 to $5,000.
        • Sealant for a concrete drive can cost $20-$80 per gallon.
        • Sealant for an asphalt drive averages 25 cents per square foot.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
