- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, as a CPA, I must complete 60 hours of continuing education every 3 years. One course will always be a required ethics course. The bulk of the remaining 57 hours are related to taxation subjects.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs are: (a) preparation and filing tax returns for all types of clients (individual, partnership, S Corp, C Corp and fiduciary and (b) representing clients who have issues before the IRS with the goal of finding an agreeable resolution for the client.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
After a 1 year audit by 3 IRS agents of multiple businesses including offshore trusts, the IRS issued a tax bill (no interest or penalties) of $975,000 total bill approximately $1,300,000. After one year of building and presenting the case, the IRS agreed to settle for $15,000.
