FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on what your event actually needs rather than a one-size-fits-all rate. Guest count, service time, location, staffing, setup, supplies, and how much planning support you'd like can all affect the scope. Some events only need professional bartending behind an existing setup. Others may need help with signature cocktails, quantities, supplies, setup, or a more complete bar experience. We'll make it cleat what is included in your quote and what you would be responsible for providing. If additional staffing, travel, supplies, or service time applies to your event, we'll account for that in the scope rather than leaving you to figure it out later.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with the basics: your event date, location, guest count, service time, what you'd like served, what the venue already provides, and what you'd prefer to handle yourself versus have us take care of. From there, we build the scope around the event. A straightforward bartending job can stay straightforward. If you need more support, we can also help with things like beverage quantities, signature cocktails, supplies, setup, presentation and service flow. Before the event, we confirm the important details so everyone knows what is being provided and what still needs to be handled. On event day, we arrive prepared, set the bar up according to the agreed scope, serve your guests, and handle our cleanup. The goal is to resolve as many bar-related questions as possible before the event so you're not managing them while you're trying to host.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Tracy and Tyler were friends for a long time and working together in hospitality at The Grove and had spent time serving guests and working events in that environment. Aurum started pretty simply through conversations outside of work: "why don't we bartend people's event ourselves?" As we kept talking about it, that idea became bigger. We started asking why event bartending had to stop at someone showing up, pouring drinks, and leaving. Why couldn't the bar itself like a more intentional part of the event? That shift from simply providing bartending labor to thinking about the drinks, planning, presentation, service flow, and overall guest experience together became the foundation of The Aurum Collective.
