I was searching for guitarlessons for my son when I came across The Chung Method. I read their reviews and they were great so I went ahead and sent a message to get more info on the classes. They were so quick to respond and set me up a free lesson with Jeremy! After that initial lesson, I went ahead and signed up my son to start getting virtual lessons. Let me tell you that he has learned so much more this year than all the other two/three years combined when he was taking lessons here locally. I can hear my son practicing and I am amazed at how well it is going and how much he has learned. My son is a bit shy and quiet, but Jeremy knows how to work with him. I have also noticed that my son is actually enjoying playing the guitar now! I am so very pleased with Jeremy and this company. They are amazing and very responsive!

Recently my girlfriend and I decided to take up guitar. Both of us had some, albeit limited, experience but it had been many years since either of us had picked up a guitar.
I was given the task of finding a teacher who would cater to both our individual needs and musical tastes.
I'm happy to say Vaughn is just that guy. His approach is simple, and straight forward regardless of your ability and his passion for teaching is evident from the beginning.
As a former teacher, I realize that subject knowledge is only part of the criteria for being successfulin the classroom. In addition a good teacher must have the ability to truly "teach" students. Teaching is a gift.....and Vaughn possesses this gift.
From the first lesson we established our goals and each week I see myself getting closer to achieving them.
In short Vaughn has lit a fire in both of us. We are completely immersed in the learning process and happy to be Vaughn's students.
I highly recommend Vaughn .

My daughters have been taking lessons with Vaughn for almost a month now. They absolutely love it! Vaughn teaches remote lessons seamlessly via Zoom. Vaughn is an awesome teacher! He has a great way of figuring out the individual learning style and tailors the lessons so my kids can maximize learning. He is a very talented teacher, he is also very personable and passionate about teaching guitar. He is very patient with kids and a fantastic resource. Cannot recommend enough!

Vaughn has been great! I am a beginner guitarist and I love that he is able to teach the ‘why’ and not just the ‘how’. I look forward to my lessons every week. Taking lessons over Zoom has worked well for us. He offers great material each week for me to work on, and I have clear objectives to help me progress.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is set firm at my studio and will vary depending on the distance traveled for private sessions at student's residences.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I look for what inspires you, such as pieces that fuel your interest to play alongside musicians you aspire to emulate. Your long term goals are just as important as your short term goals, so I make sure I have a clear picture of what you're looking to achieve.
If you are a novice with a passion to learn, it's imperative to understand that you cannot become a pro at your craft while putting in the hours of a hobbyist. On the other hand, not everyone wants to become a professional, so as long as your philosophy aligns with your objectives, then you will accomplish anything you want in music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar for over 15 years, and took formal lessons from some of the most incredible instructors in Houston. I have a background in music theory and guitar-specific disciplines via HCC and the University of Houston.
