Chris Gerhardt

Introduction: My name is Chris Gerhardt. I play in the prog-math rock power trio, Giant Battle Monster. I attended the College of the Mainland's music department for jazz guitar where I studied under John Keifer, to whom I credit my deep appreciation for and most of my understanding of innovative guitar technique, disciplined musical composition and analysis. Afterwards, I transferred to the University of Houston to study electrical engineering while maintaining an active music career on the side, including taking students of my own. I offer guitar lessons with focus on songwriting and composition. The following are some press clips in regard to my music.
