FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a lifelong learner of home styles and interior design. I like to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in home fashion, so I am constantly reading design magazines and enrolling in webinars and workshops. Also, my goal is to get certified in home modifications through the American Occupational Therapy Association, as well as universal design through the National Association of Home Builders, so I can better assist clients with special needs and older homeowners who would like to remain in their homes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My interest in houses and interior design began at a very early age. As a young kid, my parents took me along to tour lots of open houses and model homes. I used to walk through and pretend that I was the real estate agent for my parents! While I respect realtors, I have no desire to be one. I love creating, decorating, and helping people, so I prefer to share those talents and passions with others.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When you're about to make major renovations on your home or put it on the market, you want to interview several professional home stylists to find the one that best suits and understands your needs and your home. After all, your home is your sanctuary and your biggest investment. You want the best person for the best that you can afford.
