David is a great asset for any home. He helped me on my first renovation project. His experience and insight was helpful to create a beautiful home. I had a budget and he was able to choose designs that would give me my ultimate look without exceeding my budget. I would strongly recommend him for future clients. I’m attaching pictures of the home he helped with.Aug 15, 2019
David is a visionary, who sees past the immediate space and creates an environment rather than a room. His range for both classical and ultra modern approaches is impressive. I highly recommend him.Aug 16, 2019
He is incredibly knowledgeable, and has vast and very high quality sources locally and internationally. He expects perfect work from his subs and is a true professional. He is a problem solver, an ability that comes from years of experience with a wide variety of clients.Aug 15, 2019
David and his team can see things in a few minutes that literally never would occur to me. I am particularly impressed by all the variables he considers as he evaluates color choices, such as window placement, how light hits walls at different times of day, "flow" of color through different areas of a home... a long and meaningful list that certainly ended up with a fantastic result. On a side note, I really enjoy his "diplomatic" ability, his straightforwardness, and his sense of humor. A terrific, and extremely valuable experience overall.Aug 15, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We charge hourly during consultations and purchasing and a percentage above our wholesale trade cost. That percentage depends upon the project size. 20-30% is about our average markup depending on the job. In certain larger projects a flat fee can be established.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually one phone conversation and then an informal meeting to discuss the project in more detail to see how we can work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?University of Houston’s Interior Design program of continuing education. The Palladio Academy in London. For design and construction my partner and I formed a drafting service and I started a successful development firm building new construction townhomes and single family. I’m highly capable of supervising multiple crews on a project. Our smallest being a master bedroom addition and out largest a custom home of 24,000 square feet.
