FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Solo Hauling primarily prices based on volume—how much space your items take up in the truck. This method is the most fair and transparent. • What’s Included: Our quote is all-inclusive and covers labor, transportation, and all disposal/dumping fees. • No Surprises: We confirm the price before any work begins, so there are never any hidden fees. • Fees/Surcharges: Some items (like old TVs, tires, or appliances containing refrigerants) have mandatory recycling/disposal surcharges that will be itemized and included in the final quote. • Discounts: We often offer discounts for veterans, seniors, or curbside pickups where the labor is minimal—just ask when you *****
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Free Estimate: The customer calls, texts, or emails me with a description of the items and the location (photos are great!). 2. Upfront Quote: I provide an all-inclusive price quote (volume-based) with no hidden fees. 3. Scheduling: We agree on a date and a 2-hour arrival window. 4. The Haul: I **************************, confirm the quote on-site, then I do all the labor: lifting, loading, and a final sweep-up of the area. 5. Responsible Disposal: Items are then taken to the appropriate facility for recycling, donation, or disposal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While there isn’t a formal degree in ‘Junk Removal,’ the work requires professional training in several key areas. I am trained in safe, efficient lifting and loading techniques to prevent injury and property damage, and I maintain a comprehensive knowledge of local Houston area disposal, recycling, and hazardous waste regulations. My ongoing ‘training’ comes from years of hands-on experience in logistics, operating heavy equipment, and providing excellent customer service on every single job.
