FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The foundation upon which nearly all my quotes originate is $100 per hour for the time I am on location shooting. There are many variables that come into play after that. Consequently, my services can run from roughly $150 up to $3,000 a day depending on the length of the day and the desired final product which could involve two full weeks of labor completing the process.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I aim for total customer service and complete satisfaction from the moment I establish contact with a potential customer/client. First, and, in my opinion most important, I read (or listen) to what service and product is needed. It is impossible to please a customer without understanding the outcome he or she desires. Next, I carefully frame questions to fill in the gaps if there is anything unclear. There are too many "processes" involved in delivering great photography to go into detail here ... but every one of them stem from effective two-way communication. That is the process piece that gets my most attention.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My photojournalism education and training came methodically during a more than 20 year career as a U.S. Air Force Public Affairs NCO with emphasis on Internal Information, Media Relations and Community Relations. During this time I spent many years as a newspaper reporter, photographer and managing editor. I graduated many formal photography training courses and shot a vast variety of subject matter.
