FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is competitive for the industry, but may change to the the needs of the student. My pricing is not to take advantage of anyone, but to earn a fair wage for doing what I love. I offer discounts on long-term contracts and services with up-front payments.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Introducing myself and adjusting to a client's personality come before assessment of prior knowledge and skills, cognitive aptitude, and behaviors. Next is the development of individualized lessons toward the learning goal. Assessment of progress is included throughout the lesson to provide opportunities for course correction, and to increase learning proficiency. Lots of encouragement and confidence are integrated during the learning process to diminish any stress that could impair success.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 26 years teaching experience in public education in Special Education. 15 of those years have been spent in the general education classroom as a support teacher to students who struggled to learn the general curriculum. The other years were spent teaching academics and life skills to students with cognitive impairments, like Autism or Intellectual Disabilities.
