On time for sales call and survey. A little late for install, but it was the last of the day, so that was no surprise and no big deal. Very neat work--holes in wall finished nicely and the trench for the drain even had to go under a fence and around A/C units without damaging irrigation lines.
A valve was left in the wrong position, so we didn't have fully soft water over the weekend. The QC guy on Monday found the oversight and corrected it. I've sent a couple of texts about it now, but I don't have owner's manuals for the softener and the RO sink system. Minor oversight. I'm sure they'll respond to the third text.
I started here with 4 stars rather than five. The QC guy came out on Monday and tested the water at the sink. I couldn't see well what he was doing, but he showed me a number that was supposed to indicate very low hardness. That was before he saw that the valve settings were wrong. That made me wonder about the water hardness test and its validity. I still wonder, since I really couldn't tell any difference over the weekend, and water quality changed drastically after he turned the valve to the correct position.
In any case, the system is clearly working now. I wish I had done this sooner. BTW, I opted for potassium rather than sodium salt in the softener. While that is not usual, it was no problem for this company, and they provided the standard amount of the potassium salt, even though it costs 2-3 times as much as sodium salt.
How'd I get back to five stars? The no-extra charge potassium salt and $100 veteran's discount.
