However, I still had difficulty expressing myself at the level of a native American speaker, especially when it came to my accent. During eight months in Prof. Alex’s American Accent program, I made incredible progress. The mechanical training of sounds, intonation, and accent patterns was very important and helped me understand how to position my tongue and produce the correct sounds.
