My standard price is $30/hr, which, according to research, is low for the kind of services I provide.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always get to know my students well before beginning to teach them by discussing their strengths, areas for improvements, and reason(s) for reaching out to me. If the student is using a particular curriculum, I study it and prepare my lessons according to it; if not, I make one of my own, according to the student's needs. By getting to know my students and developing curricula, I can hit the ground running when beginning lessons with them, and am able to teach most effectively.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a variety of ages and ethnic backgrounds. My experience ranges from teaching piano to young children native to the United States as well as to students up to seventy years old to teaching English and mathematics to refugees from the Middle East and to college students. In short, there are few age ranges and ethnic backgrounds with which I have not had experience.
